When our second son arrived in 1992, we were gifted a delightful surprise from friends in Santa Clarita – a personalized stork sign. It was a moment my family and I will never forget, as we proudly announced our new addition to friends and neighbors. Fast forward to 2021, when my son and daughter-in-law were expecting their own baby, due in December. My daughter-in-law had seen similar ‘stork’ welcome signs before moving to the Santa Clarita Valley. She expressed her desire to have one for their upcoming arrival, with the gender remaining a surprise.
As I shared the heartfelt story of receiving that welcome stork sign 30 years ago, we embarked on a joint mission to find a local service provider for this special gesture.
Unfortunately, our search proved fruitless, as no one in our area offered such a service. The idea of starting a side business began to take root in my mind, despite being employed full-time.
Recently, we received the fantastic news of another little one joining our family in February 2024, and it felt like the perfect moment to turn my dream of providing these heartfelt welcome-home baby stork signs into a reality.
